Youth Cycling Festival – Oudtshoorn

Eden Cycling to host the annual Youth Cycling Festival.

Cycling South Africa is proud to announce that Eden Cycling, a leading cycling organization in the Western Cape Province, will be hosting the Youth Cycling Festival in Oudtshoorn. The festival will take place from 11-13 July 2023 and is open to young cyclists from all over the country.

The Youth Cycling Festival will feature a range of exciting events and activities for young cyclists. The events will include a criterium, road race, team Time Trial, mountain bike Cross Country and Mountain Bike Oval track racing where the focus will be on testing riders’ skills and exposing them to the different disciplines within cycling.

The Oudtshoorn Youth Cycling Festival is a steppingstone for young cyclists to develop bike skills and this event aims to create an opportunity for riders under the age of 19 to participate against other riders with similar abilities. The emphasis is on team and mass participation and all participants will earn points for their respective provincial team and be awarded for their individual performance.

This is also an opportunity for the provinces to identify talent and assist with development and transformation goals. This event provides a strong platform to develop the future stars of professional cycling.
