Unfortunately, due to the financial austerity measures that are currently in place, the Federation will not be able to assist with funding for the teams’ participation and any assistance towards these costs would be greatly appreciated by the athletes and the Federation.
If you require any further details regarding the team and or the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, please contact Cycling SA Para-cycling Commission Director O’Ryan Bruintjies by email email@example.com.
O’Ryan Bruintjies said: “As we all know that all the qualifying events like the UCI World Cups are self-funded, we were not able to use 2018 Para-cycling Road World Cup results to select a team for the 2018 UCI World Championships as this would penalise those riders who could not take part in the UCI World Cups. As there are no further opportunities to evaluate riders for the UCI World Championships team, it was proposed and accepted that the current UCI World Cup team be automatically selected for the UCI World Championships.”
Congratulations on your selection and good luck!
