Team South Africa’s Tiffany Keep has scooped South Africa’s first gold medal at the 2019 All Africa Games, taking place in Rabat, Morocco, until 31 August. Tiffany beat Mauritians Aurelie Marie Halbwachs (2nd) and Kim Le Court (3rd) to take victory in the Women’s MTB Cross-country along the 22.8km track in a time or 1:19:35, with almost half-a-minute to spare.
“Today went well for me and I managed a win,” said Tiffany. “I really enjoyed the race – the conditions are dry and dusty here in Morocco. I’m looking forward to my next race, which is the Team Time Trial. I’m holding thumbs for South Africa and a good result there too.”
