The City of Tshwane invites you to participate in a fun new event on the mountain bike calendar at the Wolwespruit MTB Park in Erasmuskloof on Sunday 27 March 2016.
An exciting weekend of racing, hosted by The City of Tshwane, will include the third round of the STIHL 2016 SA National Mountain Bike Series, a UCI Category 1 MTB cross-country race that forms part of the Olympic qualification for our Elite Men and Women riders, on Saturday 26 March.
Then, on Sunday 27 March 2016, there is an exciting new open event for solo riders and teams of two or four.
The course will be a 12-kilometre circuit, with a maximum distance of 48 kilometres (each rider either does one, two or all four laps – depending on the category entered). Entry fee is R150.00 per rider.
Due to the nature of the course, solo entries will be limited to 120 men and 30 women, whereas the teams of two and four riders are not limited. So gather your cycling mates and join fellow enthusiasts in this exciting format of racing at a spectacular new venue on the racing calendar.
With a whopping R70 000 total prize money up-for-grabs, its not difficult to see why this event is a must-do race for all mountain bikers this autumn.
Entries are now open, and riders can enter the Tshwane Cycle Challenge Series mountain bike relay by clicking here: https://entries.cyclingsa.com/events/5441-tshwane-cycle-challenge. The first 300 riders who enter will receive a free event T-shirt, so don’t delay and enter soon.
