The second round of the 2015 Stihl SA DHI Cup takes place at Cascades Mountain bike Park in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, on Sunday 5 April.
The opening round of the four-part series that took place in Cape Town last month, saw a well-supported field take to the track to open their series points log. Round number two, which takes place at the infamous World Cup track in Pietermaritzburg, is set to draw a big crowd, especially since it forms part of the PMB MTB Festival over the same weekend.
Downhill course designer Nigel Hicks discusses the slight changes to the original World Cup track: “There have been one or two slight changes to the course. The riders will be riding the full World Cup track, and variations of the 2013 UCI Masters World Champs.” The course is sure to produce its fair share of thrills and spills over the duration of the weekend.
