GLASGOW 23: TEAM MANAGEMENT AND STAFF APPLICATIONS
Cycling South Africa has commenced with preparations for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships that will be held from 3 to 13 August 2023 in Glasgow, Scotland.
This year the World Championships will take on a games format with 13 different discipline championship taking place across Scotland. Cycling SA will be participating in the Road Races, Time Trials, Track Cycling, BMX, Mountain Bike Cross Country, Marathon and Downhill as well as the Paracycling Road and Time trial Championship events whilst opportunities also exist for riders who wants to participate in the Gran Fondo event.
Ciska Austin, who will be standing down from the Executive Board of Cycling SA in March after a year in an acting position, had been appointed as the Chef d’Mission. She will now be spending her time on this project as well as number of other business initiatives the organization is developing. As part of the team that will be traveling to Glasgow, Team Managers, Team Mechanics and Team Assistants will be selected by the Executive Board.

As part of the motivation, availability for either a part of, or for the full duration of the championship and any cross-discipline experience should also be indicated.
Except for the BMX Challenger group who will be traveling independently as privateers, no consideration will be given to spouses or parents as part of the management team.
