COMPULSORY CYCLING CLUB MEMBERSHIP
We wish to inform CyclingSA members that a decision was made by the General Assembly for all members to belong to a club to obtain annual CyclingSA membership.
This decision was taken in order to aid in developing a robust club network within South Africa to enable CyclingSA to have a greater impact when representing cyclists interests at a local and national government level.
The compulsory club component has been implemented on the CyclingSA membership platform with immediate effect and members will now be required to select their cycling club to purchase or renew CyclingSA membership. Once the CyclingSA membership has been purchased, a notification email will automatically be submitted to the relevant cycling club administrator for approval.
Scholars may select their respective affiliated provincial school body on the club dropdown menu, as listed below:
- Amathole Schools Cycling

- Gauteng North Schools Cycling
- Gauteng South Schools Cycling
- KZN Schools Cycling
- Limpopo Schools Cycling
- Mpumalanga Schools Cycling

Support, Technical and Coaching License applicants that are not registered with a club, may opt to select the Club N/A – Support/Technical/Coach license holder option on the club dropdown menu.
We have recently launched a Club Portal whereby Club Administrators are able to approve or decline membership and racing license applications online.
A notification email has been sent to the current list of registered clubs informing them of the Club Portal, providing instructions as to how to gain access. If you are an affiliated club and have not received the notification email or are unable to access the Club Portal, please email [email protected] for assistance.
CyclingSA is committed to the development of events, athletes, officials, coaches, clubs, and youth cycling across all nine provinces of South Africa and we thank all members for your ongoing support to grow the sport and strengthen the voice for cycling within the national sporting and government structures.
