ABOUT CYCLINGSA
CyclingSA is the national governing body of the sport of cycling in South Africa and is affiliated to the International Cycling Union (UCI), South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC). Though not limited to, it governs 5 disciplines, road cycling, mountain biking (MTB), track cycling, bicycle motocross (BMX), para-cycling, its national championships and teams. It has 9 provincial affiliates with 10 additional regional affiliations and makes provision for other associate members within the sport of cycling.

Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk

Reporting: Secretary General / Executive Board
Salary: Negotiable – depending on experience.

In this role you will be required to focus on:
• Processing of Cash Book & Bank reconciliation for Cycling SA Call Account
• Processing of Cash Book & Bank reconciliation for Cycling SA Cheque Account
• Grant and Sponsorship received & allocations to events
• Processing income received from Events, Training Camps, and Courses
• Processing monthly depreciation, accruals and other journals
• Reconciliations of monthly expense claims
• Reconciliation on Payments paid in advance for overseas and local events
• Maintain CyclingSA Journals
• Weekly Cash flow reports
• Invoicing for Sponsorships, membership and Levies
• Preparations for annual audits, and liaise with auditors
• Month-end reports
• Assets – Calculate & Journalise Depreciations
• Budget control (projects)
• Paymaster Payroll and relevant statutory returns to SARS
• Payment processing and controls
• Income statements
Key requirements are:
• Associated degree or at least 5 years work experience
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Understanding accounting best practices
• Knowledge of accounting frameworks
• High attention to details
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Produce work with a high level of accuracy
• Professionalism and organizational skills
• Knowledge of XERO, Paymaster, Pastel,SAGE
