U16 Boys ready to face Ireland's Youth Tour in August

On the 1st August 2012 we will be saying Bon Voyage to seven Mr Price KZN Team riders as they venture off to go and compete in Ireland's Youth Tour. This prestigious event is the only Youth International Cycling event in Ireland in 2012, and is endorsed by both Cycling Ireland and Cycling Ulster.

Errigal Cycling Club is delighted to be hosting an event of this stature. The event itself will be mainly based in the Churchill area of County Donegal with the event headquarters being Gartan Outdoor Education Centre.

They will be competing against a large contingent of riders including riders from Britian which always lends an edge to competitiveness of the racing – this includes the Isle of Man who of course has a serious pedigree when it comes to Cycling. Mark Cavendish even competed in this Youth Tour in 1999.

The boys Zanu Labuschagne, Keagan Matthews, Nicol Cartens, Ivan Venter, Stefan de Bod, JC Jantjies and Paul Botha along with Team Coach / Manager Kelvin du Sart, will fly out on the 1 st August and return on the 10th August, hopefully with some wins under their belts.

Very exciting times lie ahead for the team - something only a few children ever get to experience.

May we wish them all a safe and exciting trip and do South Africa proud.
