THREE SOUTH AFRICANS SET TO RACE AT THE 2021 TOUR DE FRANCE

Nicholas Dlamini (Team Qhubeka Assos) and Stefan de Bod (Team Astana-Premier Tech) will be joining fellow South African and Tour de France veteran Louis Meintjies (Team Intermarché – Wanty – Gobert) at the start of their first Tour de France this coming Saturday.

Dlamini’s selection for the 2021 Tour de France is a landmark moment for South Africa as he becomes the first black rider to compete at the iconic cycling event. He will undoubtedly continue to inspire many young black riders from his former academy, Velokhaya and throughout South Africa.

The 108th edition of the Tour de France covers a total distance of 3,417 kilometres over the three-week-long race on the French country roads, concluding in Paris on 18 July.
