Cycling South Africa is excited to announce that the 2025 CAC MTB African Championships will take place in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, from 16-18 June 2025! This prestigious event will bring together the continent’s top mountain bikers as they battle for the CAC
African Champion title across three challenging disciplines:
🔹 Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) – Elite, U23 & Junior (Men & Women)
🔹 Cross-Country Short Circuit (XCC) – Elite (Men & Women)
🔹 Cross-Country Marathon (XCM) – Elite (Men & Women)
The championship will be held at Cascades MTB Park in Pietermaritzburg, a world-class venue that has previously hosted XCO and XCM UCI World Cups and World Championships, making it the perfect setting for Africa’s top talent to showcase their skills.
Cycling South Africa President Qondisa Ngwenya expressed enthusiasm about hosting the continent’s best riders:“It is a huge honor and privilege to host the CAC MTB African Championships in South Africa. We look forward to seeing Africa’s finest mountain bikers compete for the title while experiencing the breathtaking landscapes and incredible trails of KwaZulu-Natal. Hosting this event also provides a fantastic opportunity for African riders to earn valuable UCI points and progress towards competing at the UCI World Cups.”
