Change to MTB Cup Programme for final round

Regular participants of the Stihl 2015 SA MTB Cup Series will notice a minor change to the Standard Programme of Events for the fourth and final round, which will take place at Cascades MTB Park in KwaZulu-Natal from 27-28 June.

The amendment is to the Youth Men category only with no further change to the rest of the programme. The Youth Men will race earlier at 12:05 (instead of 14:15) directly after the Sub Vets, Vets and Masters. This makes the course less congested during the Elite Men and Junior Men races, and means that the UCI Men categories race alone, where there have been bigger fields this year.

Due to there being less 30+ age group riders competing this season, the earlier start time opens up the course between 12:00 and 14:00 to accommodate the growing Youth Men numbers.

Online pre-entries are open, and close on Tuesday 23 June. Click here to enter: http://csams.cyclingsa.com/enter-an-event/mtb/2015---mtb---sa-cup-series-4-xco--dhi.aspx. Late entries will be accepted at registration, with a nominal charge of R50 in addition to the entry fee

Juniors will be able to earn UCI points in rounds 4 as part of UCI Junior World Series. With the Junior categories taken out of the UCI MTB World Cups, Juniors will again participate in their own world series to garner valuable UCI points.

There is no change to the downhill programme, which takes place on the Sunday (28 June).
