ABOUT CYCLINGSA
CyclingSA is the national governing body of the sport of cycling in South Africa and is
affiliated to the International Cycling Union (UCI), South African Sports Confederation
and Olympic Committee (SASCOC).
Though not limited to, it governs 5 disciplines, road
cycling, mountain biking (MTB), track cycling, bicycle motocross (BMX), para-cycling, it’s
national championships and teams. It has 9 provincial affiliates with 10 additional
regional affiliations and makes provision for other associate members within the sport of
cycling.
As an NPO organisation, CyclingSA wants to build a strong, financially sustainable
federation and a leading partner to stakeholders, inspiring a diverse nation from
grassroot levels to ride bicycles, race and be a united community.

Areas of responsibility for this position include:
General Office Administration
• Assist with all general office duties as well as the handling of switchboard ·
• Monitoring and ordering of office supplies
• Arranging collection of post
• Coordinating courier arrangements
• Provide administrative support to the financial division and membership.
• Provide administrative support to event organizers.
• Assist with the recon of manual payments for membership and licensing on a
weekly basis.
• Assist the Secretary General with logistic arrangements for the Board members
and commissions as required.
• Assist with the collection of Bio Data and ensuring a shared folder is kept up to
date.
Membership Administration
• Dealing with membership queries, processing bulk membership and license
applications.
• Coordinate club administration and registration · Managing and authorising
Coaching License Applications
• Coordinate entries for all world championships and world cups (excluding MTB)
· Updating of event incident data base.
• Provide assistance with rider UCI ID registrations.
• Provide assistance with National Colours applications.
Club and Academy Registrations
• Coordination of club and academy registrations (app / manual), working closely
with the provincial bodies and transformation commission.
Communication
• Coordination of information pertaining to the delivery of services, products and
activities to all member, affiliates and stakeholder groups.
Key requirements:
• National Diploma in Sport Management or equivalent working experience
• Interest and enthusiasm for the 5 disciplines in Cycling (Road, MTB, Paracycling,
Track and BMX)
• Good spoken communication skills.
• The ability to inspire confidence and motivate performance.
• The ability to analyse problems.
• Perseverance and patience.
• Good organisational skills.
• A sensitive and supportive approach.
• Have basic knowledge of SAGE and Xero systems
• Excellent Command of key MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
