UCI Level 1 Coaching Course and UCI Level 1 Coaching Facilitator training – CPT

Cycling South Africa’s Coaching Commission is flying out Belinda Tarling, UCI Manager of High Performance, to deliver a UCI accredited Level 1 Coaching Course in Cape Town, during the month of September. At the same time, Tarling will be running a Level 1 Coaching Facilitators Course.

The entry-level Level 1 Coaching Course is open for all coaches and aspiring coaches to attend. Those that successfully complete the course will earn a Level 1 Certificate, which will be issued directly by the UCI.

The Coaching Facilitators course is only open to existing Level 2 and above coaches who feel that they have the necessary facilitation skills to enable the effective transfer of knowledge at this level. Those that successfully complete the course will earn a Level 1 Facilitators Certificate, which will be issued directly by the UCI. You will need to be able to travel on a regular basis around the country and perhaps neighbouring African countries in order to deliver UCI courses. All travel, accommodation and meal costs will be covered along with remuneration each day.

For the successful applicant(s) for the facilitator position, tuition to become a facilitator will be free.

The course runs for seven consecutive full days and includes all course material, lectures, lunch and refreshments each day. The cost is R4600.00 per attendee and space is limited to 30 attendees per course:

  • Monday 19 September to Sunday 25 September – Cape Town (venue to be confirmed).

All applications will be submitted to the Coaching Commission for final vetting and all successful applicants will be notified by email and requested to make payment for the course to Cycling South Africa.
