BMX AFCON attracts South African riders (ZIM)

Zimbabwe are the proud hosts of the second edition of the BMX African Continental Championships, which will take place at the Harare BMX Club, Old Georgians Sports Club, in Harare from Wednesday 11 to Saturday 14 November 2015.

South African Elite and Junior Elite BMX riders will be traveling to Zimbabwe as the chase for UCI points in the BMX discipline continues towards qualification for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Non-elite riders will also be competing in the Challenge categories, but do not earn UCI points in their races.

Over the years, the relationship between South African and Zimbabwean BMX riders has remained solid, providing a good source of competition between the nations. Each year, the South Africans travel to the neighbouring country for the popular end-of-year competition, the Africa Challenge, which will take place again this year as a second event on Sunday 15 November.

Entries for the All Africa Challenge are open, and close on Wednesday 4 November. Click here for more event information and the entry process:
