2023 UCI GRAN FONDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Cycling South Africa Announces Line-up for the South African Gran Fondo World Championships

Cycling South Africa is excited to unveil the roster of riders who will be representing the nation at the highly anticipated Gran Fondo events during the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland. This prestigious long-distance, mass participation event, known as the “Gran Fondo or Big Race,” will take place on 4 August 2023, and the Time Trial on 7 August 2023.

Participants in both the road race and the time trial categories will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on the breath-taking courses, which wind through some of Scotland’s most picturesque landscapes. From Perthshire to Dundee and Angus, the riders will traverse historic cities, charming towns, and scenic villages, as well as savour the unparalleled beauty of the coastal and countryside regions.

We extend our best wishes to the South African team and express gratitude to all the riders, coaches, and supporters who have contributed to their journey towards this momentous event.
