Cycling South Africa’s mobile APP is in full swing as we roll into 2018 after almost a year utilising the swift service. The user-friendly software shows members their membership and/or license status, allows events to use the portal as an event entry system linked to the live calendar, produces reports for the affiliates and regions to monitor, and effectively creates a one-stop-shop for cycling in South Africa. All you have to do is register once, providing your email address and creating your own unique password.
Once you have access, you can purchase or renew your membership. We encourage you to become a member of Cycling SA due to the following benefits: having immediate access to RoadCover’s effective Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims management system with NO costs to yourselves; each member will receive a death benefit of R25 000, and/or Emergency Medical Treatment at a Medical Treatment Facility and Emergency Traveling costs a benefit of up to R25,000 accident cover for any cycling related accident that occurs at a Cycling SA sanctioned cycling event with Hollard Insurance Company; and paid up members receive a discounted rate at Europcar when hiring a car in South Africa, which is accessed via the APP when logged in.
Entering an event is quick and easy, and the colour-coded calendar is a quick guide of when the entries close – the green side strip means entries are still open, orange implies that entries are closed, and yellow indicates that entries will open soon.
Event organisers are using the convenient platform to host their event entry systems. Loading an event is as easy as entering one, and the reasonable fees incorporate a nominal administration fee due to bank clearing costs.
