Cycling South Africa requires the services of Managers and Support Staff of various cycling disciplines for a 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games long list. The CWG takes place in Queensland, Australia from 4 to 18 April 2018.
The following positions are:
· Code Manager
The Code Manager will need to attend all the pre-Games planning meetings at the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC). They will liaise directly with SASCOC and be responsible for management of the entire cycling team (all disciplines) and as such will need to be at the Games from before the first cycling event and only return home after the last cycling event (31 March to 15 April).
· Discipline specific support staff:
o Road Cycling Manager (male manager and female manager), Road Cycling Coach, Road Cycling Mechanic;
o Track Cycling Manager (male manager and female manager), Track Coach, Track Mechanic;
o MTB Cycling Manager (male manager and female manager), MTB Coach, MTB Mechanic;
o Para Cycling Manager, Para Track Coach, Para Track Mechanic.
All interested Managers must have an A-category Manager’s Licence and be in possession of a current membership and up to date licence with Cycling SA; and all interested mechanics must be in possession of a valid Cycling SA membership and requires international experience.
All interested persons must submit a CV showing their sport-specific experience.
Nominations will be placed on a long list of support staff. Acceptance onto the long list however by no means implies selection. A stringent selection process will be undertaken to rank the nominations and the ultimate decision will be made by SASCOC.
