RIP Randall February

Cycling South Africa is shocked to hear of the death of Western Cape cycling fanatic Randall February (40), who was tragically killed when a vehicle knocked him off his bike in Thornton on Sunday.

February was well known in his local cycling community and had been an avid participant of the Cape Town Cycle Tour – an event in which he had competed in six times in recent years. He enjoyed long, recreational road rides with his cycling mates over the weekend, and was well respected amongst his peers.

February’s untimely death has shocked the cycling community, as well as those near to him. He leaves behind his wife and three young children.
