Cycling South Africa congratulates Ansie de Jager on her election to the post of Cycling SA Technical Commission Director.
De Jager has been involved with cycling since 1998, and has commissaired numerous cycling events since 2004. In the past 10 years, De Jager’s most high-profile races where she has served as a Commissaire include the Tour of SA, Mzansi Tour and a few Giro del Capos.
In her new role as the Technical Commission Director, De Jager hopes to inspire more people, especially younger people, to get involved with the technical aspects of cycling, which will mean the regular training of new Commissaires. She would like to see the rest of the cycling world accept the Technical Commission as a vital part of the sport, and requires the support of each and every technical member to reach that goal.
