Position of Coaches Development Co-Ordinator, SASCOC

SASCOC has an opening for an exciting and challenging entry-level position of Coaches Development Coordinator within the High Performance Department.

The Core Responsibilities, Priorities, Qualifications and Critical Skills for the position are detailed below:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficient and effective delivery of Coaches Development programmes
  • Overall coordination and implementation of SA Coaching Framework (SACF) and Long Term Coach Development (LTCD) framework
  • Assist with NFs Coach education alignment programmes, guidance notes, resources and manuals
  • Track and monitor National Federations’ Coach Education plans
  • Coordinate and capture data from NFs with regards to the implementation of the SACF
  • Maintain and update database of all coaches
  • Ensure that all Coaches and NFs have relevant and up to date information on International coaching trends
  • Develop a better understanding of Coaches Development plan and policies and their link with SASCOC’s mandate and strategy
  • Coordinate Coaching Events/Projects and Coaches Education activities
  • Perform any reasonable tasks as shall be requested by SASCOC Management
  • Assistance in delivering of teams to allocated multi-coded events
  • Provide input onto the Coaches Development Section budget preparation process
  • Update and assist in producing monthly activity and reports for Coaches Development Section

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree Sports Management/Sport Science/Coaching

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of Coach Development Structures
  • Knowledge of database maintenance
  • Research experience
